Knox County Festival of Lights
Knox County’s Holiday Festival of Lights started to shine brightly tonight at The Cove at Concord Park with a special kick-off event during which Knox County Commission Chairman Tony Norman flipped the switch to turn on the lights and start the festival. Also in attendance to show his holiday spirit was Commissioner Ed Shouse who brought his puppy.
The Webb School of Knoxville Madrigal Singers entertained the crowd with Christmas carols, Papa Murphy’s gave away free pizza samples and Santa greeted guests as they walked the lighted greenway.
Knox County’s 2012 Holiday Festival of Lights at The Cove at Concord Park will continue to illuminate and entertain each night from 6 to 9 p.m. through Saturday, Dec. 29, excluding Christmas Day. The park is located at 11808 S. Northshore Drive. Pets on leashes are welcome.
