Emerald Youth Foundation will host its 23rd annual prayer and fundraising breakfast Friday, May 6, at the Knoxville Expo Center.
Highlights will include music by the Emerald Youth choir, a message from Emerald Youth alumnus and Marine veteran Ballard Hall, and a special time of prayer led by Cheryl “Shelly” Page, professor from Lincoln Memorial University’s Duncan School of Law. Emerald Youth President and CEO Steve Diggs will also speak.
Well over 1,000 guests are expected to attend the 7 a.m. event (doors open at 6:45 a.m.) that is sponsored by Home Federal Bank, Graham Corporation and Tennova Healthcare. Proceeds raised during the event support Emerald Youth Foundation, a nonprofit ministry that serves 2,000 city children, teens, and young adults annually through its faith, education and sports program. All Occasion Catering will provide the meal.
