The Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame in partnership with the Visit Knoxville Sports Commission is excited to announce The Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame Classic Pre-Nationals Tournament, an AAU sanctioned event.

The Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame Classic tips off on championship grounds in Knoxville, TN at the World’s Fair Exhibition Hall on June 8-10, 2018. For more information regarding the Invitational please contact Parker Medley at 865-342-9137.

The VK Sports Commission is anticipating as many as 10 courts at World’s Fair Exhibition Hall will be full of energy, excitement and heated competition from teams representing the Southeast, Midwest and East Coast regions. To ensure a competitive playing experience, only youth girl programs ages 10U-14U will be allowed to compete in the event. Registration will be hosted at the World’s Fair Exhibition Hall. Every registered athlete will receive a FREE ticket to the Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony with the purchase of an adult ticket.

The Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame will celebrate its 20th Anniversary Induction at the historic Tennessee Theatre on June 9th at 7pm.  The Class of 2018 includes Ceal Barry, Dr. Rose Marie Battaglia, Chris Dailey, Mickie DeMoss, Chamique Holdsclaw, Katie Smith and Tina Thompson. The Women’s Professional Basketball League is also being recognized as Trailblazers of the Game.

The Visit Knoxville Sports Commission promotes the Knoxville/Knox County as a premier destination for sports-related events. This includes youth events, collegiate events and professional events. The VK Sports Commission works with local organizers to make events even better and with National Governing Bodies to bring events to our great city.

The Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame is an international museum dedicated to preserving the history of women’s basketball. A non-profit organization, managed by the Hall of Fame Management Inc Board, the WBHOF is the only facility of its kind dedicated to all levels of women’s basketball in the world.
