City Council Workshop: Clayton Science/Discovery Center Project

 

Representatives from the City of Knoxville and the Clayton Homes Foundation will present the proposed Clayton Science/Discovery Center Project on Thursday, July 12, at 6 p.m. in the Small Assembly Room of the City County Building, 400 Main St.

 

Ralph Waldo Emerson once said, “[People] love to wonder, and that is the seed of science.” Jim Clayton, alongside the City of Knoxville, is working to make that wonder a reality with the $150 million Science Center, proposed to open its doors in 2020.

 

The museum, which will be located on Howard Baker Jr. and E. Hill Ave., in place of the current City Police Station.
