Nourish Knoxville presents the second annual Tomato Jam, a drinks competition featuring Knoxville’s best bartenders and East Tennessee’s finest tomatoes, on Sunday, July 29, 12-4 p.m. at The Mill and Mine.
In the heat of the East Tennessee summer, it can be a struggle to attempt anything remotely adventurous. However, we trust our loyal foodies are up for this challenge: Enjoy four-ounce samples of eight creatively flavored and named tomato-based cocktails. Vote for your favorite. Sate your appetite with locally sourced brunch bites from OliBea, and enjoy live music and games on the lawn.

This second annual event features special guest Brian Bartels , a beverage director for such West Village hotspots as Jeffrey’s Grocery, Joseph Leonard, Fedora, Perla and Bar Sardine. Brian will sign cop ies of his book, The Bloody Mary: The Lore and Legend of a Cocktail Classic, with Recipes for Brunch and Beyond, and serve as a celebrity judge for the cocktail contest.
All proceeds from Tomato Jam go to further the mission of Nourish Knoxville: cultivating healthy communities by supporting relationships between local farmers, producers, and the public.
