Tennessee Interfaith Power & Light (TIPL), a statewide network of faith communities, announces an Interfaith Climate Vigil in Farragut 4 p.m., Sunday, November 18. The hour event will take place at St. Elizabeth’s Episcopal Church, 110 Sugarwood Dr. in Farragut.

People of faith are encouraged to attend to witness their sense of moral obligation to all people and to commit to reducing the climate harms we have caused through our carbon pollution and to encourage others to do the same.

Faith leaders leading the Interfaith Climate Vigil are Rev. Claire Keene (Episcopal), Pastor Kenneth Faught (Methodist), Jimmy Groton (Buddhist), and Rev. Carol Bodeau (Unitarian Universalist Church.)

TIPL invites people of faith in the Greater Knoxville region to share this spiritual response to the crisis of climate change through understanding, practice, and outreach.
