~From the City’s Office of Neighborhoods
Fall has finally hit, the leaves are falling, and the weeds are still growing strong. Parkridge Community Organization will take an afternoon to clean up their neighborhood before the holidays and winter weather hit.
On Sunday, Nov. 18, at 2 p.m., neighbors will gather at Washington Avenue Entrance Garden, 1400 Washington Ave. The neighborhood will tackle the entrance Garden, and depending on how many people show up to help, will spread out to cover other public parks and open areas in the neighborhood.
All volunteers are welcome! Invite your friends and neighbors for a fun day outside beatifying our community!
Please bring gloves, water, and any yard tools that might be helpful, i.e. weed whackers, hedge trimmers, loppers, clippers, rakes, etc. Please dress warmly and be prepared to get dirty.
For more information, and to volunteer, please contact Lynn Randazo atinfo@parkridgecommunity.org or Eden Slater at (865) 215-2113 or eslater@knoxvilletn.gov.
