Default having been made in the payment of the debts and obligations secured to be paid by Deed of Trust (“Deed of Trust”) dated August 19, 2011, and recorded as Instrument No. 201108190009548 in the Register’s Office for Knox County, Gary Strader, (“Grantor”) conveyed in trust to Thomas R. The proceeds of the sale will be applied in accordance with the terms and provisions of the above-named Deed of Trust.  Said sale is being made upon the request of Knoxville Teachers Federal Credit Union, the owner and holder of the indebtedness secured by said Deed of Trust executed on August 17, 2011, due to the failure of the makers to comply with all provisions of the Deed of Trust.

Architectural & Engineering Consulting Services

To prepare Final Design and Bid Documents and Construction Administration for new construction of two buildings containing (20) residential apartment units to achieve ENERGY STARv3, EPA Indoor Air-Plus v1 Rev.04 certification and

Certificates of Occupancy from Knox County, Knoxville TN

 

Knox Housing Partnership, Inc., (KHP) a private non-profit provider of local sustainable and affordable high performance housing (dba HomeSource east tennessee), is contracting the new construction of twenty (20) residential dwelling units within two buildings in the Karns Community Knox County, KnoxvilleTN. This residential development shall be constructed conforming to ENERGY STAR v3 Rev 09 qualified criteria and EPA Indoor Air Plus v1 Rev.04 certification. Qualified firms interested should submit via EMAIL ONLY their sealed “Expression of Interest/Qualifications,” with “Willow Place Phase 2-A&E Consulting Services”, in subject line, to Ken Block, kblock@khp.org by 2/21/2019. All response submittals will be reviewed and select firms will be invited to submit Proposals. Selection criteria will include, among other items, an evaluation of: 1) Previous experience in same/similar projects,

2) Past performance in same/similar projects, 3) Overall capabilities to handle projects competently and on schedule, 4) Integrity. The “Expression of Interest/Qualifications” response should include a succinct narrative describing: A) Delivery of High Performance Housing [Quality Control, Energy & Water Efficiency, Durability, Affordability, Healthful, Environmental soundness], B) Relevant Company Experience [LEED for Homes, EPA Indoor Air Plus, ENERGY STAR Qualified, Enterprise Green Communities, EARTHCRAFT, NAHB, and non-programmed above code sustainable multi-family residential experience], C) Relevant References. And, any other equivalent examples of recent Sustainable building projects produced locally. This project is highly time sensitive, e.g., A&E RFI close 03/04/19, A&E RFP response due 3/25/19, A&E Final Design and Bid Documents due 7/19/19, GC Contract executed 09/24/19, Certificates of Occupancy 07/01/2020. KHP shall seek full and open qualified competition in all procurement transactions. Firms having WBE, MBE, DBE or 8a Business Certification are encouraged. “Expression of Interest/ Qualifications” is due 2:00pm local time, 21 February 2019.
