There will be a celebration of Jane Austen on Saturday, June 7, at Historic Ramsey House on 2614 Thorn Grove Pike, Knoxville, TN 37914, from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.

 

Whether you are a Jane Austen fan, a history buff or just want to have a fun family day with entertainment from this great period in our history, you do not want to miss this event.

 

Enjoy readings from Jane Austen’s books and papers, in the 1797 historic house, period games, reenactments, vendors and many people in period costume to name just a few of the things that will be taking place on the grounds.

 

There will be two Regency Tea presentations at 11:30 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. for $20.00 per person, includes event admission and the starlit evening will give way to a formal ball at 7:00 p.m. $15.00 per person for those wanting to recreate the romantic period of Mr. Darcy and Elizabeth. Period costuming is encouraged but not required. Dances will be led by the Lark in the Morn English Country Dancers and live music by the Lark in the Morn Consort.

 

Both of the teas and the ball require paid reservations.
