Former University of Tennessee football players will join the third annual East Tennessee Kidney Foundation “Vols for Kidneys” Golf Classic on Monday, Sept. 28.

 

Former UT athletes, including Will Overstreet, Fred White and Eddie Moore, will participate on four-player teams.

 

The winning team will be awarded a $100 Cherokee Country Club gift card for each team member. The second place team will receive a $75 gift card per member, and members of the third place team will receive $50 cards.

 

Registration is open through Wednesday, Sept. 23 and costs $800 per team or $200 per person.

Check-in starts at 10 a.m. at Cherokee Country Club. Lunch will begin at 11 a.m., followed by shotgun start at 12:30 p.m.

 

The event is sponsored by University of Tennessee Medical Center, and all proceeds will benefit the East Tennessee Kidney Foundation. The organization currently serves more than 200 low-income patients per month in 15 counties. It focuses on patient services, including helping patients with transportation to and from dialysis treatments and providing assistance and resources for dental care and also nutritional supplements.
