Join Legacy Parks Foundation, Bell Joy Ride, Contour Trail Design Company, Appalachian Mountain Bike Club, Terrapin Beer Co. and a group of incredible women for the Joy Ride Women’s Dig Day at Sharp’s Ridge Memorial Park. Volunteers will kick off the trail building of the new all-access trail that will allow all users, including those with disabilities, the opportunity to get out and play in the woods. This all-access trail is part of Legacy Parks Foundation’s plan for developing Sharp’s Ridge Playspace which will include a natural playground, bike skills area, a network of trails to connect into the existing Sharp’s Ridge trail system. The trails and Playspace will be funded by a Trinity Health Foundation Grant. Additionally, adaptable wheelchairs and mountain bikes to use on the trail will be funded by a grant from the Siddiqi Foundation.

 

Directions from downtown Knoxville: Follow I-40/I-75 to exit 389 and turn left onto Hall of Fame Drive. Take a slight right onto N Broadway. Turn left on Ludlow Avenue and follow signs to the top of Sharps Ridge and the build site.
