Keep Knoxville Beautiful (KKB) will host its 4th annual Rocky Top Pickin’ Party on Friday, September 28, 2018. This family-friendly event is unlike any other in Knoxville. KKB’s Rocky Top Pickin’ Party will take place near downtown Knoxville at the historic Mabry-Hazen House from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. The event will feature the sounds of Roger Alan Wade and the BAHF Jubilee, as well as Marigold Moon and Jubal. All ages are welcome and guests are encouraged to join in the fun with their own instruments. Food will be available from Good Golly Tamale and Bow Tie’s Street Food. Thanks to generous donations from Elkmont Exchange, Sugarlands Distilling Company, and the Phoenix Pharmacy and Fountain, 100% of sales from beer, moonshine cocktails, and ice cream will benefit Keep Knoxville Beautiful.
Discounted tickets for this zero-waste fundraiser can be purchased through the Keep Knoxville Beautiful website until Thursday, September 27 at midnight. General advance tickets are $5 or $10 at the door, and kids 12 and under get in free. Guests who bring their own instrument to join in the pickin’ sessions will receive one free beer or beverage.
All of the proceeds from the event benefit Keep Knoxville Beautiful’s programs. For tickets visit KeepKnoxvilleBeautiful.org.
