Norman Shaw, founder of the Knoxville Civil War Roundtable, will lecture on “The Loss of the Sultana: America’s Worst Maritime Disaster.” Norman, a retired title attorney, started the Association of Sultana Descendants in 1987 and he also coordinated and planned most of the groups 28 annual reunions.  Norman also worked with the “Blue and Gray Magazine” on a special Sultana issue in August 1990. The lecture will begin at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 9th, 2016, at the Bearden Banquet Hall, 5806 Kingston Pike. Lecture only costs $5, students free.
