Make-believe magic will abound at Knoxville Zoo this Saturday, April 26th, from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.

The celebration will be centered around popular storybook characters Curious George, Corduroy the Bear and Lyle Lyle Crocodile, and to get everyone in the magical mood, children 12 and younger who come dressed as their favorite make-believe or storybook character will receive free admission to the zoo with a paid adult admission.

Curious George, Corduroy the Bear and Lyle Lyle Crocodile will each host a special story time for guests and read from their favorite books as well as meeting fans and posing for photos.  Other activities include a puppet show about protecting wildlife and wild places in the Forest Amphitheater at 11:00 a.m., make-believe games and a special “Sparkle Station” to make everyone look magical.

The chance to meet story book characters, games, activities and the puppet show are all included as part of zoo admission.  Special thanks to East Tennessee PBS, WIVK 107.7 FM and News Talk 98.7 FM for their support of the event.
