The Office of Neighborhoods’ Neighborhood Advisory Council will meet on Wednesday, June 12, from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m., at the Cansler YMCA, 616 Jessamine St.

This meeting will focus on the Office of Neighborhoods’ Neighborhood Traffic Safety Program’s education piece. Volunteers David Massey and Don Lindsey will present their Anti-Speeding Educational Draft to the Advisory Council for feedback.

This draft was presented at the 2019 Neighborhood Conference on May 18, as part of a traffic safety workshop. Based on feedback from the workshop and the advisory council, the draft will be updated to reflect best practices.

There are two other components to the traffic safety program that will NOT be discussed on June 12. These two components deal with police enforcement and engineering devices. Information for these two components can be found by visiting the webpage on the Neighborhood Traffic Safety Program.
