The 10th Rhythm N’ Blooms Music Festival, produced by Dogwood Arts and Attack Monkey Productions, will be held Friday, Saturday and Sunday, May 17 – 19, 2019, on stages and in venues located in the Old City. Drivers and other visitors to the district should be alert to related road closures and traffic pattern changes.

Set-up for the festival’s main stage area began Thursday, May 16, in the City parking lots located underneath James White Parkway between Willow Avenue, Jackson Avenue and Patton Street.

Jackson Avenue between Central and Humes streets will be closed to traffic between 8 a.m. Friday, May 17, and 11 p.m. Sunday, May 19. Patton Street between Willow and E. Jackson avenues will be closed to through traffic during the festival. Some festival-breakdown activity will continue in this area until 10 a.m. Monday, May 20. Emergency vehicles will have access to the festival site at all times.

A new feature of this year’s Rhythm N’ Blooms Music Festival is the Kid Curry Stage on Jackson Avenue, which will feature a variety of local and regional performers. Access to this stage, with an associated street fair with an art market and local vendors, is free and open to the public without festival admission.

In collaboration with the festival, Knox Area Transit is adapting the Green Line free trolley route to accommodate road closures and facilitate festival goers parking in downtown lots and riding to the festival site. Visit RhythmNBloomsFest.com/guide for a map of the trolley route and the festival site, as well as a performance schedule and ticket information.

Parking is free in City-owned garages and lots after 6 p.m. weeknights and all day weekends, including the nearby lots on Magnolia Avenue at N. Central Street.

While festival attendees are encouraged to ride bikes and scooters to the festival, they will prohibited within the boundaries of the festival site.
