Sports and science will combine to make a great program for kids at the Blount County Public Library.

“Make it Move with Muse” will be presented by Evelyn Napier, Outreach Coordinator with MUSE of Knoxville on Saturday, June 4, at 10:30 a.m.

“Kids love sports and this action-packed, sports-themed program will get them interested in science as well,” says Napier. “With the instructor as the referee, students will use a variety of sports equipment to learn about gravity, friction, force and Newton’s Three Laws of Motion.”

Muse’s Outreach Education Team delivers interactive standards-based curriculum in science and engineering. Located in Chilhowee Park in Knoxville, TN, and open to the general public as well as groups, the Muse’s mission is to inspire and empower generations at the intersection of science and art.

Open to the public, this program is hosted by the Blount County Public Library, located at 508 N. Cusick Street, Maryville, where services are an example of your tax dollars at work for you.
