Life is hard. Teens, it’s time you take a day to take care of yourself and relax!

As part of the teen events scheduled for the Summer Reading Program, “Treat Yo’ Self Day” will be held on Saturday, June 11, from 2 to 4 p.m. in the Meeting Room Hallway and Sharon Lawson Room at the Blount County Public Library.

Teens will have plenty of opportunity to relax and express themselves in a stress-free environment. Be ready for art, music, dogs, cat videos, DIY spa stuff and more! Dogs will be provided by HABIT therapy dog volunteers.  Parks and Recreation will bring arts and crafts, and participants can try their hand at a musical instrument. There will also be a raffle for a few “self-care kits” so the relaxing and self-expression can follow you home.

Open to the public, this program is hosted by the Blount County Public Library, located at 508 N. Cusick Street, Maryville, where services are an example of your tax dollars at work for you.
