February 24, 2018, 10am – 2pm; Hal Galbraith with “The Legacy of Woodworking”: Master Woodworker Hal Galbraith will take the participants through a four hour demonstration devoted to furniture making during the Federal Period from 1788-1825. You will learn the design and function of essential cabinet making tools from the period. Pieces from the Ramsey House collection will be viewed and discussed. Joiner methods used and some decorative details will also be demonstrated. You will come away with an appreciation for the extraordinary work done by hand, by these craftsmen.  Class fee is $25. March 10, 2018, 1pm-4pm; Megan Gillespie and the “Art of Hand Quilting”: Learn what is quickly becoming a lost art. The Appalachian area is known for its handmade quilts. They are admired for their beauty as well as their warmth and utility. Learn cutting, piecing and quilting and take home a one-of a-kind hot pad that you created. March 17, 2018, 1 pm to 3 pm: Fun Art Not Fine Art with Tiffani Mensch Learn to paint the fun way and create a beautiful painting worthy of hanging in your home.  It doesn’t matter what your skill level is, come and paint while enjoying your favorite wine and snacks.  Ramsey House will provide the soft drinks, you provide your favorite wine (valid ID required) and munchies.
