Helen Ross McNabb Foundation invites the community to support the 2019 Russell Biven Clayfest Tournament on Friday, Aug. 2 and Saturday, Aug. 3 at Chilhowee Sportsman’s Club in Blount County, TN.
WBIR’s Russell Biven hosts the tournament to benefit mental health, addiction and social services in East Tennessee provided by the Helen Ross McNabb Center. Russell spends each day of the tournament speaking with participants and partaking in the day’s activities.
The tournament includes two flights on Friday and one morning flight on Saturday. Openings are still available in the Friday afternoon and Saturday morning flights. The cost for a four-person team is $650. The registration fee includes lunch provided by Dead End BBQ, a goody bag, an event shirt, and use of a golf cart. Individual and team prizes will be awarded after each flight.
Russell Biven would like to invite participants and volunteers to come out and support the Center. “I am thrilled to be the host of Helen Ross McNabb Center’s Clayfest Tournament, making a difference in people’s lives every day,” Russell said. “I invite you to join us in busting some clays for an excellent cause.”
Volunteer opportunities include assistance with parking, scoring and more. Volunteers are able to sign up online and will receive a T-shirt and lunch by Dead End BBQ.
Cherokee Distributing is presenting the tournament in memory of Herb Ogle, a longtime friend and supporter of the Helen Ross McNabb Center. Herb was active in the Russell Biven Clayfest Tournament and also served as an event committee member for many years.
