“But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”  Isaiah 40:31 (KJV).

Perhaps in these last days leading up to Election Day in America, we can draw inspiration from the words of Isaiah in the Bible.  There are so many serious issues at stake that affect our families.  A staggering national debt to leave for generations of children and grandchildren, mounting health care costs that are no longer affordable, Supreme Court Justices who will shape our country’s laws, partial birth abortion, and our religious freedom are only a few of the issues facing our country.  There are so many more.

This election is not just a vote for who will fill the role of President of the United States of America.  It is a vote for how this nation will govern and how decisions made will affect her people.  More than ever, the citizens of our country need to pray and seek God’s guidance for who they should vote for to lead our country.  By the time the next issue of The Focus is published, America will have made the decision of who will lead her the next four years.  Whatever the outcome, we will still be “one nation under God!”
