Fun For All Ages As Escaped Convicts Hide in a Small Town in Disguise. Playwright To Be Special Guest
If you’re looking for an evening of fun, the Powell Playhouse promises to steal your funny bone with a delightful comedy Thursday through Saturday, October 6-8.
The performances will be at the Jubilee Banquet Facility on Callahan Road, with three evening performances and a Saturday afternoon matinee.
“1, 2, 3 And Flush” written by Roger Cosgrove, is about the dilemmas of a pair of criminals that plan to rob a local jewelry store, after failing miserably in their previous bank robbery attempt. The play takes place in the late 1960s in the town of Waterton Lakes, Alberta, Canada.
Now the would-be thieves trying an ingenious different approach. Just when they think things are going well, they have a hilarious encounter with the Waterton United Church Choir.
Tickets are $10, with a $5 Senior discount offered on Saturday afternoon, October 8. Curtain time is 7 p.m. for evening performances and 2 p.m. for the Saturday afternoon matinee. In addition, dinner at the Jubilee Banquet Facility will be offered for $15 at 5:30 before the evening shows.

In addition, Playwright Roger Cosgrove is coming to Knoxville to see the production, and will attend performances on Friday night and Saturday afternoon. Cosgrove is also author of “A Day at the Java Shop and Greyhound Bus Depot” which the Powell Playhouse was proud to perform in October 2015.
