The First Annual Fireside Festival for the Children will be held at The Venue at Lenoir City on Tuesday, December 12th from 6:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. This family-friendly event is free to the public and designed for children of all ages.

Adults can participate in a Christmas Tree Auction, with roughly 25 trees to be sold to the highest bidders. Sponsorship dollars were used to purchase trees in a variety of sizes, which were then claimed by businesses, community groups, and individuals to decorate in the themes of their choosing. One-hundred percent of the proceeds raised from decorated tree sales will benefit the Child Advocacy Center of the Ninth Judicial District of Tennessee (Kids First TN). The CAC is a non-profit organization whose mission is to “heal the pain of child abuse.”

During the event, children will be drawn to an assortment of crafting projects, including letters to Santa, Christmas tree ornaments, and holiday bookmarks. Artists from Unique Technique Painting Parties will be on hand to paint eager faces with festive designs, and the Lenoir City Fire Department will have its big fire truck on site for kids to explore. Of course, Santa Clause and Chick-fil-A’s Santa Cow are anxious to visit with little ones and hear their Christmas wishes.

To round out the evening, guests will be delighted with live holiday music by The Concord Brass. Attendees are also sure to enjoy The Ugly Mug’s hot chocolate bar with all the fixings, as well as Christmas cookies provided by the Lenoir City High School Culinary Arts Program.

Sponsors of this community event include: The Venue at Lenoir City; LCUB; James D. Walmsley, Jr., DDS; Pilot Club of Lenoir City; Functional Pathways; Loudon County Democratic Party; and Home Depot, as well as numerous volunteer tree decorators.
