Speaker: Mike Steely, Veteran, and longstanding Journalist/Reporter
Topic: A collection of stories from a newspaper reporter’s journal.

Cost: $10.00 to attend the meeting, lunch is included.

Speaker Info:
Mike Steely was a U. S. Coast Guard veteran (Petty Officer Journalist). He has been married for 53 years, with two sons and two grandkids. Mike has worked on two Daily Newspapers, The Kingsport Times-News, and the Morristown Tribune. Mike was the owner of a newspaper for a few years. He also worked on other weekly newspapers, in radio advertising, and for a national publishing company. Currently, Mike is a reporter for the Knoxville Focus, 6 years, and was honored by East Tennessee Historical Society for my “History in Media” stories including “A Day Away” occasional feature.
