Volunteer Ministry Center invites Knoxville Opera to perform
On Friday, July 16 at the invitation of Volunteer Ministry Center, Knoxville Opera will be performing a concert of Broadway, Disney, Opera, and songs for people gathered under I-40 at North Broadway. The concert will feature soprano Jacqueline Brecheen and mezzo-soprano Aubrey Odle, accompanied by Knoxville Opera Artistic Director Brian Salesky. Every year Knoxville Opera
provides Community Engagement Concerts like these at venues such as Knoxville Area Rescue Ministries, Boys and Girls Clubs, YMCA programs, Cancer Support Community, and churches.
Knoxville Opera will return to the I-40/Broadway location on August 21 to perform at the Knox County Department of Health’s Block Party.
“Knoxville Opera is privileged to provide entertaining, inspiring musical theatre programs for everyone in our community, including those who are in crisis,” said Artistic Director Brian Salesky.
“We are thankful for the opportunity to partner with the Volunteer Ministry Center in its mission to serve individuals experiencing homelessness,“ said Executive Director Jason Hardy.
