County Offices Closed Friday

All Knox County Government offices—including the Knox County Health Department and public libraries—will be closed Friday, Dec. 31 in observance of New Year’s Day. Knox County convenience centers will be closed on Friday, Dec. 31 and Saturday, Jan. 1.

The Knox County Public Libraries will return to their regular schedules on Sunday, Jan. 2.

KCHD and convenience centers will return to their regular schedules on Monday, Jan. 3.

Long lines and significant wait times are expected when convenience centers open. If possible, users are urged to consider postponing regular waste trips until Tuesday, Jan. 4 or Wednesday, Jan. 5.
