PLACE OF SALE: City-County Building within the corridor of the Main Street entrance near the Large Assembly Room, North entrance, 400 Main Street, Knoxville, Tennessee 37902.
TERMS: The sale will be for cash. The purchaser may either (i) pay the entire purchase price at the time of sale or (ii) pay 10% of the purchase price at the time of sale and execute a note for the balance, without interest, to be paid in full within 30 days from the sale date. As security for the note, a Knox County resident must sign the note as surety and the Clerk and Master will retain a lien on the real property until the note is satisfied. All funds must be paid by check drawn from a bank where the Clerk and Master can independently verify funds are available. This cause came to be heard on the prayer by Plaintiff seeking service of process by publication on the above-named defendants and/or their heirs or successors (collectively, the “Potentially Interested Defendants”), and other potential yet unknown heirs/devisees of Martha’s Children 1 or other Heirs who may claim an interest regarding the Property (herein collectively, and together with their respective legal heirs/assigns, referred to as the “Unknown Heir Defendants”),.as well as those defendants identified herein as “all unknown persons who may claim any interest in the subject matter of this action” (the “Unknown Defendants”) (hereinafter, the Potentially Interested Defendants together with said Unknown Heir Defendants and the Unknown Defendants shall be referenced collectively as the “Defendants”).
Based on the sworn Affidavit and related Motion for Service by Publication, statements of counsel, and for other good cause shown, service of process upon said Defendants by publication is hereby ORDERED, and Defendants are hereby required to appear and Answer or otherwise defend against the Verified Complaint for Declaratory Judgment and to Quiet Title (the “Complaint”) filed herein by the above-named Plaintiff, Judy Wallace (“Plaintiff”), whose attorney is E. CDBG-CV Child Care Creation Grant
Public Meeting
Knox County Grants & Community Development
The Knox County Grants & Community Development (KCGCD) Department received funding from Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development through the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG-CV) Child Care Creation Program. A public meeting to discuss the completion and close-out of the grant will be held Wednesday, June 28, 2023, at 2:00 pm in the Knoxville-Knox County Office of Housing Stability (405 Dante School Road, Knoxville, TN 37918). Members of the public are invited to attend and comment. It is anticipated that the CDBG-CV Child Care Creation grant closeout report will be submitted no later than Friday, June 30, 2023.
