Piano Belonging to Composers of “Rocky Top” to be Auctioned for Emerald Youth Foundation
Proceeds raised from the sale of piano and other items to benefit ministry with city young people
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – Emerald Youth Foundation will offer one lucky bidder the opportunity to own a unique piece of music history as it prepares to auction a piano owned by Felice and Boudleaux Bryant, composers of “Rocky Top.”
The auction, which includes the Bryant piano, is part of the Rick Barnes Emerald Youth Golf Classic and is hosted by Powell Auction & Realty. Many other items are also offered, and members of the community are invited to bid by visiting emeraldyouth.org/auction.
In addition to “Rocky Top,” the Bryants wrote nearly 6,000 songs and are members of the Country Music Hall of Fame and the Songwriters Hall of Fame. Other hits include “Wake Up Little Susie,” “Bye Bye Love,” and “All I Have to Do is Dream.” The Baldwin piano was gifted to Emerald Youth directly from the Bryant estate, and an affidavit from Bryant’s son certifies its legitimacy as coming directly from the Bryant’s Gatlinburg home.

- A 5-night stay at a vacation home in Glenville, North Carolina

- A custom-framed 1998 Tostitos Fiesta Bowl jersey signed by Coach Phillip Fulmer • An official NBA Jersey autographed by Milwaukee Bucks’ Giannis Antetokounmpo • A football autographed by former University of Tennesse quarterback and NFL player Joshua Dobbs • Autographed items from Hendon Hooker and Joe Milton
- A jersey autographed by Cleveland Browns defensive end Myles Garrett
- A football autographed by University of Tennessee quarterback Nico Iamaleava
- A basketball autographed by Chris Lofton
- Tickets to various athletic events including a special ticket game day experience with the Cleveland Browns
All proceeds from the auction benefit Emerald Youth’s programs in faith, learning and health which serve nearly three thousand young people each year.
