~ from the City of Knoxville’s Office of Neighborhood Empowerment

The State will hold a public meeting on the Tennessee Volunteer Emission Reduction Strategy on Monday, Oct. 16, from 5-6:30 p.m. at the East Tennessee History Center, 601 S. Gay St.

The City of Knoxville and State of Tennessee both received federal Climate Pollution Reduction Grants (CPRG) to reduce harmful emissions of greenhouse gases and other air pollutants that cause climate change, bad air quality, and public health issues.

Join the meeting to learn about the proposed Tennessee Volunteer Emission Reduction Strategy – and share your feedback to influence the plan.  If you cannot attend the meeting or would prefer to take an online survey, visit the state website (https://knoxvilletn.us13.list-manage.com/track/click?u=2c225da2437ec3f6b734edf0b&id=d01cc33619&e=bba8e6ddac) .
