Second Saturday Series Wraps Up this Weekend, Aug. 10

KNOXVILLE, Tenn.— The Second Saturday Concert Series wraps up this weekend at the Cove at Concord Park – featuring Knoxville native Jeff BearCat Bunch.

 

The free concerts are held from 6 to 8 p.m. July through August on the second Saturday of each month. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own blankets, lawn chairs, and food. However, no alcohol is allowed.

 

According to his bio, Jeff BearCat Bunch has a deep appreciation of songwriting and storytelling craft. With grit in his voice and wisdom in his songs, this independent and nationally touring singer/songwriter/storyteller will take you through his life throughout his songs.

 

Additionally, he’s played at events sponsored by SiriusXM Outlaw Country station each of the last three years.

 

The Cove, located at 11808 S. Northshore Drive, is the county’s most visited park. It features a number of summertime amenities, including a beach, playground, sand volleyball court, walking trail and fishing areas. River Sports also rents canoes and kayaks.

 

If any concert has to be canceled because of the weather, the county will post a notification to the Parks and Rec Facebook page and the Parks and Rec Twitter page.
