South-Doyle Band shooting for the stars

The South-Doyle High School Band is shooting for the stars this season with their 2024 field show, “Written In The Stars.” Featuring a blend of original music by Luke McMillan, Phil Collins’ “In The Air Tonight,” and “Rewrite The Stars” from The Greatest Showman.

On September 21, the band showcased their talent at the Clinch River Classic, earning an impressive 2nd place finish in class 2A. Their momentum continued at the Volunteer Classic, held at Heritage High School on October 19, where they received multiple awards: 2nd place for the drumline, 1st place for their drum major, and 1st place overall in class 2A.

The South-Doyle Band is hoping to continue their momentum at the Foothills Classic at Seymour High School today.
