Jered Croom, Director of the Knoxville Police Advisory and Review Committee
Jered Croom is the director of the Knoxville Police Advisory and Review Committee (PARC), a civilian body that provides oversight of police activities in Knoxville. Appointed in 2022, Croom brings a background as a community organizer and advocate for social justice in the Knoxville area. In his role with PARC, he emphasizes transparency and accountability in policing, focusing on strengthening community trust through thorough reviews of police conduct and promoting fair law enforcement practices. Croom’s tenure has also included adapting PARC’s procedures to respond to evolving community needs. His leadership is integral to Knoxville’s efforts to ensure law enforcement accountability and foster an environment of mutual respect between the police and the public.
