Trump Cabinet Selections Going Very Well

By Steve Hunley
President-elect Donald Trump is beginning to name those he intends to nominate for places in his second administration and the difference is already apparent.  Mike Huckabee, former governor of Arkansas, has been named to serve as America’s ambassador to Israel, a master stroke of an appointment.  Considering what is going on in the Middle East currently and the rise of antisemitism around the world, it is of more vital importance than ever.  Trump has sent a signal to our ally Israel that he recognizes the importance of the post by naming someone who stands high in GOP councils as America’s ambassador to Israel.

Trump has leaned heavily upon his adopted state of Florida to staff his Cabinet and other posts in his administration.  Marco Rubio has established himself as an outstanding member of the United States Senate and should make an outstanding secretary of state.

The big surprise as this is written is Trump’s choice of Congressman Matt Gaetz to serve as attorney general of the United States.  That has already caused some liberal and leftist heads to explode.  There is very good reason to believe several departments of the U.S. government need an overhaul and the Justice Department is one of them.  The only people who seem unable to admit the Department of Justice has been weaponized against Trump, his supporters and every day working Americans are universally on the far left of the political spectrum and usually in the terminal stages of Trump Derangement Syndrome.  The Justice Department has moved into the realm of politics, where it was never supposed to be, and has become a cesspool of partisan politics and is in desperate need of reform.

So, too, have the FBI and the CIA demonstrated they are in need of a good look if not a big overhaul.  The news of the spy in the CIA turning over or selling secrets to Iran is both disgusting and disturbing.  John Ratcliffe, a former congressman and very able lawyer, will helm the CIA and former Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard will serve as director of national intelligence in Trump’s new administration.  Both are excellent choices.

Another Trump pick that has caused much of the mainstream media and professional leftists to poop itself is the president-elect nominating Pete Hegseth to serve as the secretary of defense.  Hegseth is a real American patriot who symbolizes strength, which is more important in today’s world, especially in the face of predatory enemies like China and Russia doing all it can to weaken our country.  Hegseth understands the armed forces and is a remarkable choice inasmuch as he is young enough to be in touch with the feelings of many of those currently serving our country.  A 44-year-old father of four, Hegseth is a warrior himself and continues to serve in the reserve.  Pete Hegseth also is a graduate of Princeton and has a master’s degree in public policy from Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government.

Hegseth is another outside the box choice that will shake up Washington and the usual way of doing business.

Trump has called on two other members of the U.S. House of Representatives to serve in his administration so far. Elise Stefanik will make a great ambassador to the United Nations and be a strong voice for America there.  Michael Waltz, another Florida congressman, will have a new role as Trump’s national security advisor.

Trump also sent a message with Tom Homan to serve as his border czar in his second administration.  Homan knows the southern border quite well and should serve admirably.

President-elect Trump has nominated Robert Kennedy Jr. to run the Department of Health and Human Services.  Once again, it is a pick that will help to shake up a department in need of shaking up.

And even before taking office Trump has once again shaken things up with a new Department of Government Efficiency headed by Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy.  This would be the first serious attempt to rein in reckless spending in years.  We’re long past the time we should be spending the taxpayers’ money and have nothing to show for it as has been the case with the seven charging stations and no cable hookups during the current administration.

Even a moron could see there are some serious things wrong inside our federal government currently.  The admission by the FEMA supervisor in North Carolina that those homes with Trump signs or banners be skipped during the relief effort following Hurricane Helene is obscene.  Maybe that’s why so many Trump Derangement Syndrome sufferers think that’s what’s in store for them, because they see it being done to those who disagree with them.

Donald Trump didn’t do that during his first term and he won’t do it during his second term.

What President-elect Trump has done so far with his choices for various offices is to show the American people that he understands the need to reevaluate, realign and rework some agencies of the federal government.  Trump has indicated he is open to saving money and streamlining the federal government.  Continually spending more and more will bankrupt Social Security even sooner and we need to live within our means as a country.  Simply taxing more and more to provide services and “free” stuff to those who won’t work shouldn’t be an option.

America is the greatest country on the face of God’s earth.  No other country in the history of mankind has done so much for so many, nor has any country done so much for other countries.  There has been a concerted effort by the Left to dismantle, belittle, and demonize our country.  They want a socialistic globalist society.  Their hatred of the slogan “Make America Great Again” speaks volumes for wanting our country to be great in every respect should offend exactly no one.
