KNOXVILLE – Nourish Knoxville is thrilled to announce the grand reopening of the Winter Farmers Market, kicking off on Saturday, January 18, 2025! Running every Saturday through the end of March on Historic Market Square, the Winter Farmers Market is your go-to destination for fresh, local produce, unique artisan goods, and a vibrant community atmosphere – rain, shine, or snow!

Opening Day Highlights:
This year’s opening day is packed with activities for all ages:

  • Nourish Kids Program: In partnership with Kickstand Knoxville, kids ages 2-12 can enjoy a fun, hands-on activity focused on bicycle safety and maintenance. After participating, each child will receive a sample of locally grown produce and $5 in Produce Bucks to spend on fresh fruits and vegetables at the market.
  • Local Vendors Galore: Shop an impressive selection of locally grown produce, baked goods, coffee, flowers, handmade jewelry, pottery, bath products, and more – all sourced within 150 miles of Knoxville.

“We’re so excited to welcome the community back to the Winter Farmers Market,” said Mizuki Hanford, Markets Manager. “This market isn’t just about shopping – it’s about celebrating the incredible farmers, makers, and families that make Knoxville so special. We’re proud to provide a space where everyone can come together to support local.”

The Winter Farmers Market is also proud to continue accepting SNAP benefits, making fresh, local food accessible to more members of our community. Thanks to the Double Up Food Bucks program, we’re doubling SNAP dollars – up to $20 per day – for fresh fruits and vegetables, helping families eat healthier while supporting local farmers.

2024–2025 Winter Farmers Market Schedule Highlights:

  • Operating every Saturday, January 18 to March 29, 2025, 10 AM to 2 PM.
  • Nourish Kids Program is held on the *second Saturday of each month, offering free activities for kids ages 2 – 12 and $5 in Produce Bucks
    *January’s activity will take place on the third Saturday, January 18.
