I pray that by the time you read this essay, we will have a new president. And we need one because we haven’t had a real president in four years. Joe Biden was a facade. Our country, western civilization, Christianity and the world will be safer with a reinstated President Trump because the enemies of freedom fear and respect him.
I pray for President Trump and I especially pray that he will be protected from more assassination attempts. I never thought much about presidential protection until recently because I used to trust the Secret Service, the FBI and the intelligence agencies. I don’t any longer. Evil men have corrupted these agencies as they have corrupted so many institutions of our government.
On the way out of the door, FBI Director Christopher Wray just warned us that China has infiltrated critical sectors of our American
infrastructure. Because Wray’s FBI has spent years chasing law-abiding Americans, this infiltration happened on his watch and people no longer trust him or what he says. And why should Chinese infiltration surprise anyone? California Senator Diane Feinstein’s chauffeur was a Chinese agent and so was California Congressman Eric Swalwell’s paramour, “Fang Fang.” We are led by dangerous fools. God help President Trump and God help us.
Do you ever feel overwhelmed by the problems in our country and the world? I’ve often wondered whether there are more problems or, because we live in the information age, are we just more aware of problems? I believe it is both.
I live in the “best of times” partly because the wonderful technology of the internet allows me to explore topics that interest me and stay connected to family and friends. Unfortunately, I’m also made aware of the “worst of times” like the LA fires and the horrors of war in the Middle East and Ukraine. Periodically, I have to turn off the news, analogous to soldiers removed from the front lines for R&R. But it is my duty as a citizen to stay informed, even though it is difficult given the corruption in the legacy media.
If you are not oblivious or delusional, the damage to our country extends beyond the corruption and incompetence in the White House over the last four years. Tragically, it is also demonstrable at the state level in Gavin Newsom’s California and at the municipal level with the “Karen” (Bass) of Los Angeles. These two incompetents have literally burnt the City of Angels to the ground. The destruction is so severe that President Trump has compared the burnt landscape to being “hit by a nuclear weapon.”
The Biden dystopia is ending, although this shell of a human being continues to lie and harm Americans. Biden recently proclaimed that climate change has replaced his ruse of white supremacy as the foremost threat to our country. The climate change ruse is dead and has no bearing on the tragedy incompetent Democrats compounded in California. I feel sorry for the people who are suffering in Los Angeles. But recently I saw a meme in which a woman laments the loss of her home to fire. She said she’ll vote for different Democrats in the next election cycle.
And if you think Democrat dystopia can’t happen here, you are wrong or ideologically delusional. This should be a wake-up call for Tennessee and Knoxville. If you don’t want our state and city to end up like California and Los Angeles, stop voting for liberal progressive Democrats. People in Canada and around the world are figuring this out. And so have the majority of Americans who overwhelmingly elected President Trump. Even Mark Zuckerberg and Senator John Fetterman have figured it out.
As 2025 dawns, the destructive Democrat policies have been exposed. DEI (diversity, equity, inclusion) is dead and non-racist meritocracy is back. ESG (environmental, social, governance), where corporate investments are made based on perceived environmental and social issues rather than what is best for stockholders (owners) of the company, is also dead. Gender-affirming care, a euphonism for genital mutilation and hormone blockers for kids with the mental illness of gender dysphoria, is dead. Democrats, who cannot define a woman, will no longer be allowed to destroy women’s sports (Title 9) by forcing women to compete against men or invade a woman’s private space. And the Democrat sacred cow of demographic destiny, where illegal immigration through open borders is used to bolster the Democrat voting base, is also dead.
Americans recoiled as Democrat policies damaged the country, and Democrat lawfare threatened to destroy President Trump who once said, “They’re coming after you; I’m just in the way.” Democrats lied about Trump, tried to remove him from ballots, tried to lock him up, and tried to bankrupt him and his family. And when nothing else worked they tried to assassinate him. They failed. Lawfare failed and is dead.
I could not have withstood a fraction of the abuses President Trump endured. All the Democrats accomplished was a corrupt conviction, by a corrupt judge in the corrupt NY legal system. All for an accounting error, with no victim.
The odious Judge Juan Merchan is the modern day equivalent of Captain Ahab who was obsessed with destroying not the white whale, but the “Orange man.” He and his lawfare compatriots destroyed themselves, the justice system and fellow Democrats. Merchan even exposed his daughter who shilled for the Democrat party as a fundraiser. These abuses reelected Trump president.
But there is more. Liberalism, especially its extreme iterations of progressivism and socialism which destroyed lives and fortunes all over the world, is dying. We watched the attempted character assassination of Pete Hegseth by Democrat Senators “Crazy Maisie and Chief Running Mouth” and other Democrat hypocrites. Respect is earned, and the notion that it is elected is dead.
The charade of Senate confirmation hearings is Kabuki Theater theatrics. Fortunately, Oklahoma Senator Markwayne Mullin called out Democrat senators who “vote while drunk and cheat on their spouses.” He didn’t mention the Congressional “slush fund” that cleans up the peccadillos of congressmen.
American patriots voted for a drastic change of leadership and direction of the country. This gives me hope.
