Faith Bonds, a fifth grade student at Carter Elementary School, created artwork that was chosen by Crayola for permanent exhibit at the U.S. Department of Education national headquarters in Washington, D.C., and its regional offices across the country.
It was one of 36 pieces selected for a collection of children’s original art and their statements about creativity to be displayed. Her artwork is entitled “Fishing Like Eric” and was inspired by the art of author, illustrator Eric Carle.
