Children listen to a story being read at Book Fest.

The featured Town of Farragut event was the sixth annual “Farragut Book Fest for Children” held on Saturday, April 13 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Campbell Station Park. Sponsored by the Farragut Arts Council and the Knox County Library Farragut Branch, this event was free and featured storytellers, book signings by local authors, art activities, inflatables, music, giveaways and refreshments. Entertainers  included magician Michael Messing and musicians Frank Galbraith and Conny Ottway. Featured authors  included Elaine Barnes, David Boyce, Jean Leigh Claudette, Grant Fetters, Jan Green, Susan Weaver Jones, Katy Koontz, Marilyn Mae Randall, John and Micki Ritchi, and Beverly Scofield.  In conjunction with this event, the Friends of the Knox County Library hosted a used book sale at the Farragut Branch on Friday and Saturday, April 12 and 13
