The Volunteer Ministry Center and Brixx Pizza’s West Hills location are teaming up to raise money to help end homeless in Knoxville.
The 3rd annual Hops for Homes benefit for VMC is from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m., Monday, May 19, 2014, at the Brixx location at 7403 Kingston Pike. This fun event allows customers to eat, drink and help to end homelessness with a great custom menu and a variety of beers from domestic brewing companies.
Tickets for the event are $40 per person and can be purchased online at the VMC website, www.vmcinc.org, and at the VMC offices. For more information, contact VMC’s Lisa Hutton at 524-3926 or at lhutton@vmcinc.org.
“This is a fun event that allows VMC’s loyal supporters a chance to sample beer from select breweries and enjoy good food and music for one low price” said Ginny Weatherstone, VMC CEO. “There will also be a silent auction of wonderful prizes, valuable art objects, and other great items to bid on at the event.”
“I really appreciate the hard work of the staff and management at Brixx in helping to organize this fundraiser for VMC. The effort to end and prevent homelessness requires the support of the entire community and it is great to see people from all across the city pitching in to help end homelessness,” Weatherstone added.
The brewing companies participating in the Hops For Homes 2104 are Terrapin Beer Co., Athens, GA and SweetWater Brewing Company, Atlanta, GA.
