23rd Annual Seymour Christmas Parade this Saturday

23rd Annual Seymour Christmas Parade this Saturday

“How fitting that this year’s theme is ‘Hometown Heroes’,” said John Linsenbigler, executive administrator of the Seymour VFD and president of the Seymour/South Knoxville Chamber of Commerce.

“The last several months have placed a heavy toll on our emergency responders, especially with the recent devastating fires and storm damages.  The Seymour Area Chamber of Commerce parade is still ON for Saturday, December 10.  This is just one small way so show our thanks to these local heroes.  Also to show the rest of the country that we are strong in our resolve, strong in our Spiritual faith and ready to help with the healing process.”

The parade leaves Valley Grove Baptist Church at 3 p.m. and travels South through Blount Co. into Sevier Co. to the Kroger at W. Macon Ln.

Please Note: Chapman Hwy South will be closed from 3-4:30 p.m. on Saturday from Sevierville Pike in South Knox County.  Line the West side of Chapman Hwy.
