Variety – the Children’s Charity brings car enthusiasts and coffee lovers together for a great cause
Automotive enthusiasts are invited to Regal Pinnacle ScreenX, IMAX & RPX, Saturday, April 6, to enjoy classic cars and delicious coffee for a good cause. Knoxville’s Cars & Coffee, Cruisin’ with Heart event benefits Variety – the Children’s Charity of Eastern Tennessee’s Kids on the Go! program, which provides specially-designed walkers, wheelchairs, trikes, strollers and more for children with physical challenges in East Tennessee.
“We are thrilled to celebrate this event with friends and family in Regal’s home city of Knoxville, and we look forward to seeing this year’s lineup of amazing cars,” said Carol Fusco, executive director of Variety of Eastern Tennessee. “Cars & Coffee is a wonderful opportunity for the community to come together for a day of fun, all in support of an incredible cause.”
On Saturday, April 6, at 8 a.m., experience this automotive display, along with a silent auction. Cars & Coffee began in 2003 in Southern California and quickly spread across the country. This free event invites car enthusiasts to display their favorite classic or modern vehicles and enjoy a cup of fresh coffee provided by Starbucks, as well as biscuits from Tupelo Honey and donuts from Duck Donuts. Regal Pinnacle is located at 11240 Parkside Drive. Event proceeds benefit Variety and assist with mobility device purchases for children in East Tennessee.
Immediately following the event, car lovers are invited to participate in the 2019 Poker Run, which offers participants the chance to enjoy over 100 miles of East Tennessee’s finest driving roads. Contestants earn playing cards at five checkpoints along the route with the objective of creating the best poker hands. All participants are invited to enjoy an awards ceremony, dinner and live music following the Poker Run. Tickets for the run are now available here for $25.
