Knoxville band The Deep Fakes is proud to partner with Mercedes-Benz of Knoxville and Monday Night Brewing to present Stuff the Sprinter: Mountain Strong, a free concert and donation drive supporting Hurricane Helene flood relief efforts in East Tennessee. The event will be held on October 20, 2024, from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Kern’s Food Hall and aims to collect essential items for those affected by recent flooding in the region.

Attendees are encouraged to donate essential survival items like tents, sleeping bags, blankets, and more. A full list of needed items can be found on the Tennessee Emergency Management Agency (TEMA) website. To ensure that aid reaches those in need, Mercedes-Benz of Knoxville will donate Sprinter vans to transport these items to the TEMA donation center at Bristol Motor Speedway.

Joel Lay of The Deep Fakes expressed the band’s commitment to the cause, stating, “We wanted to do something meaningful to support our neighbors during this tough time. Music has always been about bringing people together, and we hope this event not only uplifts spirits but also helps those who are facing challenges due to the floods.”

The event will feature live music from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. with classic hits from the cassette and vinyl eras. In addition, Kern’s will offer free pumpkin carving from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. while supplies last, along with face painting, seasonal beers, and delicious food. It will certainly be an engaging atmosphere for families and friends to come together in support of a worthy cause.

Members of The Deep Fakes will be available for interviews before and after the concert, providing an opportunity for media to highlight the resilience and community spirit of East Tennessee. Any coverage or Community Calendar mentions prior to the event is greatly appreciated to help spread the word and bring in more donations.

For additional information regarding the event and donation guidelines, please contact Joel Lay at 865-567-2149 or jlay@mbknox.com.

Together, let’s Stuff the Sprinter and make a meaningful impact in our community.
