Due to the situation surrounding COVID-19, and upon prayerful consideration and advice from a number of experts, Christian Academy of Knoxville will move to a distance learning model starting Monday, March 23 and will continue through Friday, April 3. Students will plan to return to campus on Monday, April 6.

Knowing that we have invested in the most innovative educational technology possible and amazing faculty and staff, we are blessed that we have the ability to continue remote learning during this time because we realize that not all schools have this capability. It is our expectation that there will be no need to extend the school year due to continuous learning.

What does this mean for our campus community?

Spring Break is next week (March 16 – 20)

Distance Learning Model (March 23 – April 5)

Our students will be learning remotely and we have a robust plan to continue education from preschool to high school during this time period. In order to keep students safe, we have also made the decision to suspend all CAK activities, both on and off-campus, effective Saturday morning, March 14 at just after midnight until Friday night, April 5 at 11:59 pm. It is our current plan to return to on-campus activities on Monday, April 6.

We also have set up a webpage with FAQs and helpful links for our CAK families.

As we move closer to our return date, we will be communicating about many of the exciting events that we have planned for our students for the remainder of the year including new dates for our Musical Theatre program “Singin’ in the Rain” and many other wonderful campus events.
