Do you ever wonder how an artist creates that special piece put on display? Have you ever been curious about the blending of colors or use of an artistic utensil to generate that effect that no one else can?

Dogwood Arts hosts the annual Art DeTour. Presented by Home Federal Bank, Art DeTour is two-day event where local artists welcome the public into their actual studio space so the general public can experience the working creative process and watch demonstrations on making a work of art! Visitors are invited to watch as the artists produce some of East Tennessee’s spectacular masterpieces.

When it comes to art, the creative process can be just as interesting as the finished product. Dogwood Art DeTour provides an intimate look into 28 local artists’ working studios. See them all in one weekend!

Participating artists range from a wide variety of artistic genres and all studios will have original works on display for purchase.  Event organizers excite in showcasing these works in progress, as well as the many final art pieces that make up the art collection that is the Dogwood Art DeTour.  Visitors can find a full listing of artists and studios at www.dogwoodarts.com/dogwood-art-detour/
