Dogwood Memorabilia Collection Day is tomorrow

We are gearing up to celebrate ‘Seven Decades of Dogwood Arts‘ in 2025, and want you to be involved! As a part of the year-long celebration, Dogwood Arts is putting together an exhibition in the Dogwood Gallery from March 7 – April 18, 2025 showcasing the history of our organization through the lens of the community that built it.
Join us for ‘Dogwood Memorabilia Collection Day’ Tuesday, October 29th from 2-6PM at the ORNL Federal Credit Union Northshore Branch (2077 Town Center Blvd, Knoxville, TN 37922). Have something you think would be great in the exhibition? We want to see it! It will be a great afternoon of sharing stories and photos — there will also be an opportunity for you to share your favorite ‘Dogwood Memories’ on camera for a video that will be included in the exhibition.
What we’re looking for: prints, shirts, pins, buttons, programs, photo albums, flags, cookbooks, merchandise — really anything Dogwood-related that you’ve collected over the years (and are ready to part with*). Please Note: Items left with Dogwood Arts will not be returned — we will utilize as much as possible in the exhibition, and the rest will be safely archived in the Dogwood Arts historical collection held at the University of Tennessee.
*If you’re not ready to part with your memorabilia, we will also be able to scan copies of photographs, articles, etc. during the collection day at ORNL, so you can take them home with you.
Can’t make it next Tuesday? Feel free to drop off your memorabilia at the Dogwood Arts office (M-F) 10AM-5PM now through the end of the year. We are located at 123 W. Jackson Avenue, Knoxville, TN 37902 in the Old City.
