The city of Pigeon Forge distribution center has received donations from across the state this week and is extremely grateful for the generosity that has been shown.

At this time, the distribution center is at capacity and is requesting a pause on donations once again with the exception of the following items: laundry detergent, fingernail files and clippers, and scissors. The center reports that it has more than enough bottled water resources; none are needed at this time.

The distribution center will remain open until the community’s needs are met. It is located in the former Boyds Bear facility at 149 Cates Lane just off the Parkway in Pigeon Forge. The facility is open Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m. Hours are extended as needed.

Anyone wishing to help the folks in Sevier County who were affected by this week’s wildfires, please consider making a monetary donation to one of these three organizations:

  • The Dollywood Foundation “My People Fund” – DollywoodFoundation.org
  • Sevier County Fire Relief Fund at any branch of Citizens National Bank
  • Gatlinburg Relief Fund at any branch of SmartBank in East Tennessee

Donations of supplies already collected can be scheduled by calling 865-804-1658; deliveries of water already collected can be scheduled at 865-368-9013.
