Double Your Donation to Second Harvest Food Bank
14th Annual Double Your Donation, Thursday, December 5th
MARYVILLE, Tenn. – Second Harvest Food Bank of East Tennessee will host Double Your Donation (DYD) on Thursday, December 5 starting at 6 a.m. This annual event is a telethon and day of giving to benefit Second Harvest Food Bank. All donations made to Second Harvest, including Giving Tuesday, through December 5th will be matched by generous sponsors up to $750,000. Donations can be made online at SecondHarvestETN.org/DYD or by phone at (865)-243-8227.
Gifts made to Second Harvest now through December 5th will apply to our goal of providing over 2.25 million meals to those in need. Your donations will help us continue to deliver critical food assistance to families struggling with food insecurity. This effort is especially important as we prepare for the historically low donation period in the post-holiday winter months.
“Inflation has placed a heavy burden on families, particularly those already facing hardship. This day of giving is an opportunity to support your food bank in providing critical meals during the colder months. Your generosity ensures that we can continue to serve our East Tennessee neighbors and offer a lifeline to those struggling to make ends meet,” said Elaine Streno, Executive Director of Second Harvest.
Second Harvest would like to thank Knoxville TVA Employees Credit Union, Republic Plastics, BJ’s Wholesale Club, Kroger, Commercial Bank, SouthEast Bank, Enrichment Federal Credit Union, UnitedHealthcare, and Bush Brothers for their generosity and support.
