Last Tuesday, Lori Boudreaux hosted a campaign kick-off at the Copper Cellar. Lori is running for the Fifth District Board of Education seat being vacated by Karen Carson. She greeted supporters from 5 to 7 pm at the West Knoxville area restaurant.
Boudreaux is an educational professional who has worked as an academic counselor. She has worked in Morgan County Schools (2010 to 2013) Knox County Schools (2003 to 2008), and Clay County Schools (Orange Park, FL 2001 to 2001). She also worked as a Licensed Professional Counselor in private practice from 2007 – 2011.
Boudreaux is working on her Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) – Educational Leadership at the University of Cumberlands. She holds a Masters in Education – Educational Leadership from the University of North Florida and a M.S. in Counselor Education from Florida International University. She completed her B.S. in Secondary Education from Millersville University (Pennsylvania).
Boudreaux has a son, Brandon, who attended the event. She also has a granddaughter, Alexa Nicole.
Several of Boudreaux’s former colleagues from Bearden High School, where she worked as a school counselor, attended the kick-off, including Scott Witt and Lee Ann Wright.
Boudreaux’s website (votelori.org) says she supports public education, honors the mission statement, and builds relationships.
