The Office of Neighborhoods kicks off the 2020 Neighborhood Small Grants Program (NSGP) this year, with the first opportunity to attend a mandatory grant workshop on Thursday, May 30.

The NGSP allows neighborhoods to apply for up to $3,000, to tackle a neighborhood project or carry out an event or an idea that benefits the whole neighborhood.

To apply for a grant under the NSGP, your organization must send a representative to ONE of the following mandatory workshops:

*** Thursday, May 30, 6-8 p.m.

*** Wednesday, Jun 5, 6-8 p.m.

*** Saturday, Jun 8, 10-12 noon

All three opportunities will be held at the Public Works Building, 3131 Morris Ave.

All applicants MUST have at least one neighbor participate in at least one workshop to be eligible. Participation is encouraged even if no current plans are in place – to assist your group in final consideration for an application for the current year or to assist in planning for a 2021 grant application.

Contact Eden Slater at eslater@knoxvilletn.gov or 215-2113 to register.
