Fundraising Campaign for Families of Knoxville
~ from Vol Promise
Four students at the University of Knoxville have partnered with Family Promise of Knoxville to help fund money for this non-profit. They have created a crowdfunding campaign to raise money that will directly help homeless and low-income families rebuild their lives. These four students are hoping to reach their goal and give back to their community by December 11th, 2024.
Family Promise of Knoxville is a non-profit organization that “provides a community-based response that empowers and equips families experiencing homelessness and housing instability to achieve sustainable independence.” The Family Promise of Knoxville has recently developed a “Graduate Support Services” program that not only gets families in housing but keeps them in housing.
The main goal of this program is to provide stabilization and cater to the different needs of all the different situations that consist of homelessness in Knoxville. Some specific needs include health and wellness, workforce development, and partners in housing.
More than 88% of families in these programs have been able to successfully secure housing and satisfy other needs that they wish to achieve. Families who have suffered from homelessness now have hope in finding happiness and opportunity for their children.
The Vol Promise knows how important it is for families to feel happiness and security, which is why we are dedicated to making this campaign as successful as possible so that we can help to provide for local families in need. Vol Promise hopes that with enough time, thought, and consideration, these families can spend the holidays with their loved ones without feeling the effects of home and basic necessity insecurity.
