Honor Fountain City Day will be held on Memorial Day, Monday, May 30, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the Fountain City Park.  This year’s theme is “Fountain City:  A Community of Volunteers.”  There will be free activities for children including Face Painting and games with prizes.  Upland Birds of Prey will have an exhibit, and Fountain City Art Center has provided several door prizes.

Dr. Jim Tumblin will be the guest speaker and community awards will be given at 3:00 p.m.  There will be a Veterans Memorial Service after the awards with speakers U.S. Congressman John J. Duncan, Jr. and John Becker of WBIR.  Singer Lynn Bennett will provide patriotic music.

Food for sale will be provided by Fountain City Art Center and Church of the Good Shepherd.  The Fountain City Town Hall will sell T-shirts, great desserts, drinks and host a Silent Auction.

Entertainment includes:  Brandywine, Nostalgia, Andy LeGrand and Tennessee Wind Symphony. The Joyful Twirlers will perform.

The Fountain City Art Center and Parkside Gallery will be open and, as always, local vendors and exhibitors will be present.

If you would like to be a vendor or a volunteer for the day, please e-mail Jamie Rowe at ombroligo@aol.com for booth rules and an application form.
